About  CENDEF

The Centre for Digital Education Futures (CENDEF) at Open University Malaysia (OUM) was established to support critical inquiry and strategic engagement with the rapidly evolving landscape of digital education. As technologies, institutions, and learning practices continue to change, the Centre provides a space for examining how these transformations shape the futures of education.

CENDEF advances its work through research, fellowships, public dialogue, and collaborative initiatives that explore emerging questions in open, distance, and digital education. These activities encourage interdisciplinary perspectives and create opportunities for engagement among scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and partners.

Situated within OUM, the Centre contributes to the University’s broader mission of expanding access to quality education through open and flexible learning, while also engaging regional and international networks concerned with the future of digital education.
